When you think of hot pot, you’ll usually think of bubbling soup filled with a variety of meats and vegetables. Well, at Thai restaurant 999 in Nakano, Tokyo, that’s not what you’ll get. Instead, you’ll get a pot of soup with only two ingredients: coriander and pork. And mind you, it’s a mountain of coriander.
And if the coriander in the soup is not enough, the chef at 999 has created a coriander sauce as well. I’m not a big fan of coriander, but my friends who love it are super excited over the news seen all over Facebook, while others have said that they will never give it a try. Which camp are you on?
Too bad though, it’s only available in Japan until someone decides to bring it into Singapore.
Expected damage: Price upon request
